PURPOSE:To obtain jeans having the appearance of used jeans in high safety and excellent working efficiency at a low cost by spraying a catalyst liquid capable of absorbing an oxidizing agent to the surface of jeans and preferentially bleaching the sprayed part with an oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst liquid (e.g. inorganic acid or organic acid) capable of absorbing an oxidizing agent is sprayed to the surface of jeans and the sprayed part is preferentially bleached with an oxidizing agent by immersing the jeans in an oxidizing liquid containing an oxidizing agent such as chlorite or hypochlorite to obtain the objective jeans having the appearance of used jeans. The toxic hazard of the oxidizing agent can be prevented and jeans having the appearance of used jeans can be produced in high safety without lowering the strength. |
