PURPOSE:To provide the title sheet excellent in the performance as a filter, etc., consisting of a blend where ultra-fine PE and PP fibers and other fibers larger in diameter than the formed and at least partially containing PE or PP are randomly mixed and also both kinds of fibers are partly in a melt-bound state. CONSTITUTION:The objective sheet excellent in bacteria barrier properties, dust collectivity, liquid absorptivity and thermal insulation, consisting of a blend where (A) ultrafine PE and PP fibers [for PE, pref. high-density or linear low-density PE, with a melt flow of 40-200; for PP, with a weight-average molecular weight Mw of 10X10<4>-20X10<4>, a ratio Mw/Mn of 3.5-5.0 (Mn: number-average molecular weight) and a melt flow of 70-500] and (B) other fibers larger in mean diameter than the fibers A and at least partially containing PE or PP are randomly mixed and also both the fibers A and B are partly in a melt-bound state. |
