<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the reading and writing error due to the adhesion of dust by adding a grinding material SiC to a protective layer within a specific ratio range with respect to the resin solid of the protective layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording layer 12 is provided on a base material 10. To the recording layer, that is, to the part between a magnetic recording medium and a protective layer being a top coat layer, a concealing layer and a magnetic bar code are laminated. The number of layers or the thickness of the layers is set according to the required output and required characteristics of a magnetic card but, herein, the layers are limited only to the concealing layer 14 and, finally, the protective layer 16 containing 20wt.% or less of a grinding material SiC is formed as the top coat layer. By this method, since the magnetic card can obtain a surface state wherein a cycle of unevenness is fine, the resistance to the magnetic recording reading and writing error due to the adhesion of dust caused by dirt from the hands or static electricity increases.</p> |
