A multilayer correcting material with a silicone-treated base, in particular designed as a tape, has a covering layer provided for correction purposes arranged on the base and an adhesive layer arranged on the covering layer. The correcting material is produced by forming the covering layer on the base by means of a water-based coating substance which contains an emulsifier, a polyethylene wax dispersion, a polyacrylate dispersion, a fluorinated tenside, a padding agent, fillers and white pigments, if necessary an anti-foaming agent and a preservative. The water is evaporated. On the dried covering layer an overcoat is applied, exclusively containing water as dispersing agent and a polyethylene wax dispersion, an anionic polyacryl dispersion and if necessary another emulsifier, anti-foaming agent and preservative. The water it contains is then evaporated. |
