The present invention relates to a fume purification system used in conjunction with food cooking equipment. The fumes which are generated during cooking pass through a plurarity of filter balls washed by an oxidizing liquid which removes the greasy contaminants from the said fumes. A cooling coil is also used in conjunction with the filter balls to accelerate the condensation of the fumes. If required, a charcoal filter is placed before the purified air is returned to the atmosphere or recirculated in the system. |
