THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording medium keeping high printing density even when thermal transfer printing is repeatedly carried out by a line thermal head and almost generating no lowering of density by constituting an ink layer of a two-layer structure and a rough branched resin structure. CONSTITUTION:As a support, one provided with a heat-resistant protective layer 5 is used. According to circumstances, a support 1+2 preliminarily provided with an adhesive layer 2 can be also used as the support 1. A rough branched resin structure 6 containing heat-meltable ink 8 is formed on the support 1 and a microporous resin structure 10 is further provided to the surface part of the structure 6 to be bonded to the support 1 or 1+2 by the branched resin structure 6 having a coarse porous cross-section. Heat-meltable wax 12 is held in the structure 10.
