PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in high speed record ing aptitude and generating no lowering of the whiteness of its recording layer even when preserved under a high temp. condition by selectively using a specific developer and a specific heat-meltable substance. CONSTITUTION:As a developer, at least one compound selected from 4- hydroxy-4'-isopropyloxydiphonylsulfone, 4,4'-(1,3-dimethylbutylidene)bisphonol, 4,4'-(1-phenylethylidene)bisphenol, 4,4'-(m-phenylenediisopropylidene)bisphenol and an antipyrine complex of zinc thiocyanate is used and, as a heat-meltable substance, a compound represented by formula, for example, bis(o-methylbenzyl) oxalate is contained. |
