PURPOSE:To quickly obtain an approximate area by calculating the pertinent approximate area from a storage means based on position information detected by first and second position detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 202 stores the page description language (PDL) received by a reception equipment 201 in a RAM 204 through an internal system bus 203 in accordance with the control program stored in a ROM 205. When one- page components of PDL are received and are stored in the RAM 4 thereafter, graphic elements in the RAM 204 are quickly subjected to anti-areasing processing by a picture processing circuit 209 and are expanded to multilevel image data and are stored in the plane memory part of a page memory 206. Thereafter, data in the page memory 206 is sent to a picture processing device 400 through a transmission equipment 207. Thus, the approximately area is quickly obtained. |
