PURPOSE: To obtain a powdery drying agent for drying grain, etc., giving dry grain, etc., having fine appearance and undergoing no change of the color by forming particles having a specified average diameter and using an aluminosilicate as the material of part of the particles. CONSTITUTION: This powdery drying agent especially used for drying a solid lubricated with an aq. or oil liq. especially for surface-coating grain or seed contains particles having about <100μm average diameter preferably by at least 50wt.% of the total amt. of the useful absorbent and <25wt.% of the entire absorbent is made of at least one kind of aluminosilicate such as mica, illite, a miceous clay, a miceous pigment, kaolin, dickite or montmorillonite, preferably mica.
