PURPOSE:To obtain the above thermal recording material excellent in thermal response and imparting high developed color density by adding a specific compound to a thermal recording material containing a usually colorless or light- colored dye precursor and an electron acceptive compound (developer) reacting with the dye precursor at the time of heating to allow the dye precursor to form a color. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formula (wherein X<1>, X<2> and X<3> are an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom and may be same or different mutually, Y forms a 2 or more C alkylene chain and may have an alkyl side chain, Z is an alkylene group and may have a side chain, R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and Ar is an aryl group which may have a substituent) is contained. For example, a coating solution containing 2, 2-bis(p-hydroxyphenyl) propane is applied to the surface of paper for thermal coating in a solid coating amount of 4g/m<2> and dried to prepare a thermal recording material. |
