<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently and massively prepare a colorant produced from Lavendula vera by employing a standard medium comprising a Murashige.skoog medium containing an ammonia series nitrogen and a nitric acid-series nitrogen in a relative molar concentration ratio range and in specific total amounts, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A stable Lavendula vera callus subjected to a passage culture is cultured with shaking under a dark condition in a liquid medium for the multiplication of cells, the liquid medium having a medium composition suitable for the multiplication of the cells. The medium is prepared by adding 1.0ppm of 2,4-D and 0.5ppm of kinetine to a Murashige.skoog(MS) medium as a standard medium. And further a modified MS medium containing both the components in a total amount of 40-72.5mM. The Lavendula vera cells massively produced in the above method are cultured with shaking under a dark condition in a liquid medium having a medium composition suitable for the preparation of the colorant to provide the colorant in a production amount larger appropriately 3.5 times those of conventional passage culture methods.</p> |
