ADJUSTABLE BILATERAL KNIFE

The adjustable bilateral knife is designed to finish by planing the T canals width, tolerated especially by the cast iron tables of the machine tools. The knife consists of a body (1), on which some hard-cutting alloy plates (2) are fixed by head (a) brazing, symmetrically with respect to the y-axis, with a socket (b) cut in it, in which a pin (3) is fixed with a shape corresponding to that of the socket (b) in the body (1), as well as a cutter (f) placed symmetrically with respect to the y-axis. When the pin (3) is driven, it induces an elastic deformation to the head (a) of the body (1), bringing it to the necessary dimensions for planing or after re-sharpening, after which the pin (3) is fixed with a screw (4).
