LONGITUDINALLY TELESCOPIC CARRIER

This invention consists of a longitudinal transporter provided with a telescopic chain for its entire length. It is used for the technological transfer of logs, for example, across the rail of a gantry crane.This invention represents a longitudinal chain transporter made out of several sections that can be telescoped into each other on the longitudinal axle of the transporter.The transporter is made out of three log-transferring sections that can be telescoped into each other with the help of rollers and sliders mounted on them. Thus, the length of the transporter on its longitudinal axle is reduced. The last section, which can house the other mobile sections, is fastened to the ground on a foundation placed outside the working clearance of the gantry crane. Telescoping is done by a chain fixed at the outer ends of the first mobile section and driven in both directions on the longitudinal axle by a chain wheel. The second mobile section can also driven mechanically in any direction, by a cleat located on the first mobile section.
