PURPOSE:To rapidly find out an area rate by finding out an approximate area rate concerned based on the existence of intersecting points between plural dividing lines for dividing edge part picture elements and vector data crossing the edge part picture elements and the sorts of edges of the edge part picture elements and controlling the outputs of the edge part picture elements. CONSTITUTION:Individual area rates in a set sorted by intersecting point information between a vector straight line and dividing straight lines l1 to l8 can be approximated with one area rate. Thereby, the set of vector straight lines is formed based on the intersecting point information and edge information indicating a right or left edge, the approximate area rate of each set is previously found out and a look-up table (LUP) consisting of the intersecting information, the edge information and the approximate area rates is formed. At the time of executing antialiasing processing,f the approximate area rate concerned is inputted from the LUP based on the intersecting information and the edge information and the output control of the edge part picture elements is executed. |
