PURPOSE:To provide feed used in production of artificial breeding of fishes and shellfishes and suitable for enrichment of nutrition of rotifer by adding marine animal oil abundantly containing omega 3 highly unsaturated fatty acid to minute dried material of algae and uniformly subjecting the mixture to dispersing treatment. CONSTITUTION:Marine animal oil (e.g. squid liver oil or cod liver oil) abundantly containing omega 3 highly unsaturated fatty acid, especially docosahexaenoic acid to a minute dried material of algae such as spirulina and dunaliella. Then the mixture is uniformly subjected to dispersing treatment to produce nutrition enriched feed for SHIOMIZUTSUBO rotifer (hereinafter referred to as rotifer) which is an animal plankton. Rotifer abundantly containing omega 3 highly unsaturated fatty acid can be readily obtained by culturing rotifer using the above-mentioned feed. Healthy rearing of seedlings can be attained by carrying out artificial seedling of fishes and shellfishes using the resultant rotifer. |
