The process comprises selective extn. by min. 80% ethyl alcohol, at 25 ml/0.2-25 mg of reflux analysis powder, for 30 mins. The insol. prods. are removed by filtration. The spectrophotometry is based on the extinctions of the colourings in soln. medium, 30% NaOH, 5% NaOH ammoniacal soln. at 1:10 volumetric ratio and 530 nm wavelength, in 1cm quartz containers, with comparison based on the extinction value given by a cobalt chloride 1% soln. under the same conditions.
