The field of the invention is that of machines for packaging products such as trays for food products intended to be packaged by means of a protective film, of the extendible or drawable (stretchable) type. The invention relates to a packaging machine intended for enclosing a product (50) at least partially in a packaging film (30), particularly an extendible film, of the type comprising means (40) for extending (stretching) the said film (30) above the said product (50), means (39, 75) for immobilising the said film (30), means (4) for raising the said product (50) against the said film (30), means (71, 90, 91) for creasing (crumpling) the said film (30) under the said product (50), and means (72) for removing the said packaged product (50) from the said machine, each of the said actuating means (4, 39, 40, 71, 72, 75, 90, 91) being controlled by a different actuator. <IMAGE>
