USE:A colorant for various image or recording materials such as photographs and heat-sensitive transfer style media, for various filter materials and for various synthetic fibers. The compound of the formula II has a brilliant magenta-blue color tone. PREPARATION:A phenol derivative is oxidation-coupled with an aminophenol derivative or a p-phenylene diamine derivative. |
