PURPOSE:To obtain the subject element having high luminance by using a hole- injection and transportation layer composed of a tetraphenyldiamine derivative layer and a 4,4'''-bis(2-butyl-octyloxy)-p-quater-phenyl layer. CONSTITUTION:The objective element has a hole-injection and transportation layer consisting of two layers, i.e., a tetraphenyldiamine derivative layer [e.g. 1,1-bis(4-di-p-tolylaminophenyl)cyclohexane layer] contacting with anode and a 4,4'''-bis(2-butyloctyloxy)-p-quater-phenyl layer of formula contacting with an organic electron-transporting luminescent layer. The thickness of the hole- injection and transportation layer is <=1mum, usually 0.04-0.1mum. |
