PURPOSE:To improve bending strength by mixing Si3N4 having a specified ratio of diopside to diopside and apatite at the grain boundary region with a sintering aid and firing the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Si3N4 having >=0.72 ratio of diopside to diopside and apatite at the grain boundary region is mixed with a sintering aid and the mixture is fired to obtain the title ceramic having >=100kgf/mm<2> bending strength. |
