<p>PURPOSE:To keep the inside of compost layer aerobic by natural convection, to simplify the apparatus, and to reduce the running cost by communicating the drafting pipes provided in the upper and lower parts each other in a compost vessel through a pipe. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower draft pipes 10, 14 having respectively draft holes 13, 17 are provided in the lower and upper parts in the compost layer enclosed with the compost vessel 2. and the pipes 10, 14 are communicated with the vertical pipe 18. When the material of compost begins to ferment from the center part of the compost layer 1, the air in the compost layer 1 is heated by fermenting heat, and ascends and enters into the pipe 14 through the draft holes 17. This air flows to the side of the pipe 10 through pipe 18 and blows out of draft holes 13 to the lower part of the compost layer 1. As a result, the air is circulated from the compost layer 1 to the pipes 14, 18, 10, and to the compost layer 1 in order, so that the inner part of the compost layer 1 is kept aerobic by natural convection, and the composting is promoted.</p> |
