PURPOSE:To stabilize the surface potential of a photosensitive drum and to improve printing quality by setting the timing outputting the input signal of a transfer voltage supplying signal to be after a medium arrives on a line connecting the center of the photosensitive drum to a transfer wire. CONSTITUTION:The position of the medium 2 is detected by a paper feeding sensor 4, from which a microcomputer 21 receives a signal and outputs the input signal of the transfer voltage supplying signal. When the paper feeding sensor 4 is turned on by the medium 2, the leading position of the medium 2 is culculated from the travelling speed of the medium 2, and the timing of outputting the input signal of the transfer voltage is set to be after the medium 2 arrives on the line 10a connecting the center of the photosensitive drum 7 to the transfer wire 10a in a transfer device. Hence, such an influence that the transfer device affects on the photosensitive drum 7 by the medium 2 between the transfer drum 2 and the transfer wire 10a can be decreased. Thus, the surface potential of the photosensitive drum can be stabilized and the printing quality can be improved. |
