<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate cutting work and to enlarge change rates in resistance value by forming four external electrodes in the periphery of a rectangular insulated substrate with specific relations of shape and position and by forming a filmy resistor connected to these external electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A wiring pattern laid over a wiring substrate 5 carries soldering lands 6a, 6b serving as resistor terminals corresponding to external electrodes 2a, 2b formed at the right edge of a trimming thick film resistor and soldering lands 6c, 6d respectively fixing external electrodes 2c, 2d formed at the left edge so that those lands may depict a symmetric figure, where the symmetric external electrodes 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d are connected to the soldering lands 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d, respectively, with solders 7. Trimming for adjustment of resistance value is follows: a groove 8 is cut in a thick resistor 3 from the side of the external electrodes 2a, 2b connected to the resistor terminal, and resistance value between the resistor terminal electrodes 2a and 2b is adjusted according to the thickness of this groove.</p> |
