Power monitor for LV lighting system - disconnects supply transformer secondary upon indication of overload or short circuit condition

The power monitor uses an electronic measuring circuit detecting extreme load variations to indicate an overload or short-circuit condition for disconnection of the transformer secondary. The measuring circuit uses the current and voltage ont he transformer secondary side, the supplied load being matched via a potentiometer (P). The measuring circuit used a rectifier bridge circuit (GL1,GL2) receiving the supply transformer voltage and a current transducer transformer voltage on opposite sides. ADVANTAGE - Ensures fire protection.
