Filter consists of water spray nozzles and layers of packings. There is at least one connection for exhaust air. Water flows downwards and is distributed through the packings and collects in a basin at the bottom of the filter. Air is drawn upwards through the filter by a fan which creates a pressure difference. As air rises through the filter, the low pressure drop across the packing increases. USE/ADVANTAGE - Because the pressure drop varies, thefilter does not get blocked, as do prior art filters.
