The amplifier has a transformer coupled to the circuit board conductor paths and operated with a single output (4), or two outputs (4, 8) by providing a bridge (32, 33) between given conductor paths (31, 34). Pref., the single output transformer acts as a voltage transformer and the dual output transformer acts as a differential transformer. Pref., at least one of the transformer windings is provided by a printed conductor path. ADVANTAGE - Eliminates need for two different transformers.
