A REFERENCE ELECTRODE FOR CHEMICAL SENSORS

The invention relates to a reference electrode for chemical sensors based on ion-selective field-effect transistors (CHEMFETs) in an electrolyte/insulator/semiconductor (EIS) system. The reference electrode consists essentially of an insulator/semiconductor substrate coated with polyglutamate or of a phthalocyaninato-polysiloxane polymer film which is coated with polyglutamate and mounted on an insulator/semiconductor substrate.
