The stand is for support bottles containing an infusion medium which is being used to treat a patient. The stand consists of a fixed outer tube which forms a guide for a telescopic inner tube. The outer tube is mounted on a support (35) which encloses an electric motor which drives a chain wheel (29) which drives a chain (40). This chain passes around a second chain wheel (28) mounted on the upper end of a vertical arm (5). The inner tube is attached to the links of the chain (40) so that it is raised and lowered by the movement of chain. The bottles are suspended from hooks (52) attached to the upper end of the inner tube. USE - Surgical infusion.
