PURPOSE:To attain high speed processing with a small memory space by calculating simple information field parts of a membership function based on a function arithmetic equation and applying function expansion based on a data table to information field parts of complicatedly crossing membership functions so as to obtain its evaluation value. CONSTITUTION:Sets of sensor output information NB, NS, ZO, PS such as high frequency component detection value, high frequency component difference, object fog width detection and object fog width signal difference are made correspondent with the X axis of membership functions. In a field where the membership functions are comparatively simple as X1, X2, the method of evaluation arithmetic system by function calculation is selected, and a relevant function is selected from a function table in a logic controller 11 to expand the membership function thereby calculating the evaluation value of the membership function. On the other hand, in a complicated field like a field X0, the membership evaluation is calculated by a data table. Thus, the utilizing efficiency of a memory is improved and the calculation time is reduced. |
