摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To minimize the off-gage length of a welded part and to roll without breaking by determing the proper drawing down position before and behind the welded point of a metallic strip on the inlet side of a rolling mill and changing the drawing down position into the proper drawing down position behind the welded point before the welded point is passed through the rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:When the welded part 7 of the metallic strip 6 of which the condition of base material is different is rolled, the proper drawing down position SA where the allowable thickness deviation of the strip 6 on the tightening side is realized and the proper drawing down position SB where the allowable thickness deviation of the strip 6 on the releasing side is realized are determined from rolling data by a clearance transfer function and then the drawing down position SC where breaking limit thickness of the strip 6 on the releasing side is realized is determined. And, before the point of time when the welded point 7 is passed through the clearance position of rolling roll, the drawing down position is changed into the proper drawing down position of the strip 6 behind the welded point 7.</p>
