Ethanol based fuel additive for two=stroke engine - contg. n-heptane, water and lubricant, reducing emission of hydrocarbon(s), carbon mon:oxide, poly:cyclic and oxide(s) of nitrogen

A fuel additive for 2-stroke engines contains (a) 55-90 vols.% of ethanol, (b) 5-10% of n-heptane, (c) up to 5% of water, and (d) 10-45% of a lubricant sol. in the additive and in the 2-stroke mixt. Pref. amts. are: (a) 65-75 vols.%, (b) 6-8%, (c) 1-4%, and (d) 20-25%. The water is introduced (partly) with the ethanol. The additive is used with opt. Pb-free normal gasoline, super or low-octane gasoline. The ratio of oil:fuel is 1:25-75 (1:40-50). ADVANTAGE - The additive reduces the emission of hydrocarbons, CO and carcinogenic polycyclics, and at least does not raise the emission of NOx.
