A hose, partic. for conveying poisonous or polluting substances, has an inner hose (1) of rubber or plastic, resistant to the medium to be conveyed. It is surrounded by an outer safety hose (2) with a space (3) between them contg. a substance which absorbs, washes, or dissolves the medium in the inner hose (1). At the ends, the safety hose (2) can be sealed against the inner hose (1) and have an inlet and outlet (4, 5). When acrylonitrile is conveyed through the inner hose (1) the space (3) can contain warm caustic sode soln. as absorbent. USE/ADVANTAGE - Overcomes the limitations in the use of rubber hoses imposed by the diffusion of dangerous substances such as acrylonitrile and vinyl chloride. (7pp Dwg.No.1/3)
