<p>According to the invention a flat lid for lead-acid accumulators is manufactured with elastic seats for the connection of the poles. Around each opening (4; 31) for the passage of the poles (5; 23) of an accumulator there is an elastic diaphragm (6; 27) the longitudinal profile of which is suited to make it elastically deformable in its axial direction. A pole (5; 23) of the accumulator is connected with the diaphragm by means of the ring-shaped seat (8; 20) being present on the end opposed to the area (19; 30) for the connection with the lid (1; 40). If a lengthening of the pole (5; 23) of the accumulator eventually occurs during its life-span, it will be absorbed by the deformation of the diaphragm (6; 27) so that the lid (1; 40) will not be subjected to stresses which might damage or disconnect it with serious consequences for the accumulator.</p> |
