PURPOSE:To prepare the title resin which is biodegradable in natural environment and hence causes no waste disposal problem by compounding acaroid resin, an alcohol-sol. resin, shellac, a formaldehyde-phenol resin, etc. CONSTITUTION:Acaroid resin, a gum resin obtd. from trees of the genus Xanthorrhoea of the family Juncaceae, is compounded with an alcohol-sol. resin, shellac obtd. from lac resin deposited on tree twigs by the lac insect, a formaldehyde-phenol resin, etc. |
