The invention relates to a rotary vane vacuum pump with a housing, with a rotor and with a drive motor coupled to the rotor, both the rotor and the drive motor each being equipped with a shaft journal and both shaft journals being supported in the housing in the area of their coupling; in order to design a simpler and more cost-effective connection between drive motor and rotor, it is proposed that the drive-side shaft journal (52) of the rotor (14) have the same diameter as the shaft journal (53) of the drive motor (4), that the two shaft journals (52, 53) be jointly supported directly in a bearing bore (51), that for sealing off the bearing bore (51) two shaft packing rings (55, 56) forming a lubricant chamber (57) be provided, of which one is assigned to the rotor shaft journal (52) and the other to the motor shaft journal (53), and that the two shaft journals (52, 53) be coupled together at the end face. …<IMAGE>… |
