The device generates combinations of numerical values and consists of a first memory (10) in which numerical values are recorded at successive addresses in a predetermined order. Each numerical value read is compared by a comparator (12, 14) with at least one element of comparison for the derivation of a new numerical value which is recorded at the address of the value read in the memory (10). Each new combination is thus derived from the preceding one according to a predetermined calculation criterion. The initial combination is provided by control means (16, 18) from initial data.
