PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. giving a molded article excellent in transparency, resistance to heat, moisture, and chemicals, etc., by compounding a specific hydrogenated ring-opening polymer with a cyclic olefin random copolymer in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. hydrogenated ring-opening polymer comprising a hydrogenation product of a ring-opening polymer obtd. from cyclic olefins of formula I and/or formula II and having an intrinsic viscosity eta (at 135 deg.C in decalin) of 0.05-10dl/g and a softening point of 70 deg.C or higher is compounded with 0.1-5 pts.wt. cyclic olefin random copolymer obtd. from ethylene and cyclic olefins of formula I and/or formula II and having an intrinsic viscosity eta (at 135 deg.C in decalin) of 0.01-5dl/g and a softening point of 70 deg.C or lower, giving the title compsn. In formula I, (n) is 0 or 1; (m) is 0 or a positive integer; and R<1> to R<18> are each H, halogen, or a hydrocarbon group. In formula II, (p) is 0 or a number not less than 1; (q) and (r) are each 0, 1, or 2; and R<1> to R<15> are each H, halogen, an aliph. or arom. hydrocarbon group, or alkoxy. |
