PURPOSE:To restore or recover the structure and function of bone tissue at the deficient part with an excellent biological compatibility in a short period of time by coating the surfaces of granules with powder of the same constituent as calcium phosphate ceramics, and by providing a plurality of projections to the surfaces. CONSTITUTION:In the granules consisting of calcium phosphate ceramics, the surfaces of granules are coated with powder of the same constituent as the calcium phosphate ceramics, and are provided with a plurality of projections. The range of grain size from 2.0 to 0.5mm is preferable. In the case of coating of powder, powder is coated on the granules while, for instance, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetate, dextrin, gum arabic, or the like are sprayed, and after sufficiently dried preferably at 80 to 50 deg.C, they are burned at a temperature of 1200 to 700 deg.C. |
