<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate foreign sense likely to be generated at the transfer from a wood club to iron club by decreasing the overall length of shaft gradually at each No.1 piece by a specified length, and setting the No.1 step decremental length in a value greater than the overall decremental length. CONSTITUTION:A playclub for golf is set so that the overall length L0 of playclub decreases gradually at intervals of DELTAL0=12.7mm at each No.1 piece while transfer is made from a long iron to short iron, and the No.1 step decremental lengthDELTAL1 is set to a value greater than the overall length decremental length DELTAL0, i.e., DELTAL1=22.7mm, and thus the length L1 of No.1 step 23 of each No. piece is varied. For iron club, the length L1 of No.1 step 23 shall be n=7 in #3 iron, n=6 in #4 iron, n=5 in #5 iron, n=4 in #6 iron, n=3 in #7 iron, n=2 in #8 iron, and n=1 in #9 iron. For pitching wedge and sand wedge, on the other hand, it shall be n=0.</p> |
