PURPOSE:To simplify the work of calculating a carrying charge in the forwarding business by inputting data required for the pasting invoice of luggage, calculating the forwarding charge by calculating a distance between a collection spot and a destination and preparing the bill and specifications of the total fare for each customer. CONSTITUTION:When the luggages are collected, a luggage identification number customer identification code and a luggage collection spot code or the like, which are read from the invoice pasted to the luggages by an input device 5 at the collection spot 1, are registered through a distributed computer 3 to a transportation information control file 8 of a center computer 7. Similarly, when the luggages are distributed, the destination codes or the like are registered from the destinations 2 to the file 8. Based on the data from the file 8, a transporting distance calculation process 9 calculates the distance between the luggage collection spot and the destination through a transporting distance calculation table 10 and further similarly, the fare is calculated by a fare calculation process 12. Next, the fares of the same customers are summed up by a sum-up process 15 and the bills 16 and the specifications 17 are automatically prepared. Therefore, the labor is extremely saved for the work of calculating the fares in the forwarding business. |
