PURPOSE:To obtain the title factor having excellent immunosuppressive action with low side effects, useful for treating autoimmune disease such as rheumatism, immunosuppression in organ transplantation, etc., by culturing cells to produce an immunosuppressive factor and collecting the factor from the culture mixture. CONSTITUTION:Cells [e.g. mouse T cell 13G2 (IFO 50,220)] to produce immunosuppressive factor ISF-T are cultured, the objective factor is formed and accumulated in the culture mixture and collected. The culture is carried out preferably for 48-96 hours. An ordinary animal cell culture medium is used as the medium and preferably animal cell is not added to the medium. |
