PURPOSE:To maintain stable cutting performance for a long period of time by forming a nitrided layer having a thickness of 10-40mum and a hardness Hv of 800-1100 on the surface of a steel plate, and thereby enhancing inclusion of abrasive grains to the work to be cut to a great extent. CONSTITUTION:A nitrided layer having a thickness of 10-40mum and a hardness Hv of 800-1100 is formed on the surface of a steel plate, to provide a blade 1 for a blade saw machine. When cutting a hard material is cut using this blade 1, abrasive grains supplied to a cut place bite into a non-nitrided portion 3 having a relatively soft inside and the grains are held inside. Thus the cutting efficiency is enhanced. Because wear of the mentioned non-nitrided portion 3 due to cutting is suppressed by the nitrided layer 2 as outer course, the lifetime as blade saw is prolonged as well as the cutting accuracy is enhanced. |
