A preform (3) for silver spoon is cut out of a silver plate of a uniform thickness into a general shape having the bowl portion (1) and the handle portion (2). The bowl portion (1) is sepeatingly press-worked to an even thickness, and the handle portion is press-formed in dies to a designed handle shope with an engraved pattern. The repeated press-working improves the depsification and work hardening of the silver spoon to a better mechanical property of bending resistance chan the conventional silver spoon.
