<p>PURPOSE:To make a connection pipe connectable to an opening end part without applying cutting work by forming a stepped surface on a peripheral surface off an opening end of an air intake pipe and externally inserting a collar cylinder unit to the peripheral surface of this opening end part to weld this collar cylinder unit to the stepped surface. CONSTITUTION:In an air intake pipe 14 by which an intake system air passage of an internal combustion engine is formed, a collar cylinder unit 28 is externally inserted respectively to both side opening end parts of a pipe main unit 27, and a connection pipe 24, formed of material having flexibility of rubber or the like, is externally inserted on a peripheral surface of this collar cylinder unit 28. This connection pipe 24 is air-tightly connected by tightening its peripheral surface by a band-shaped clamp member 38. That is, a large bore part 34 of the collar cylinder unit 28, formed of hard resin material, is externally inserted to the opening end part of the pipe main unit 27 and integrally built by fixedly welding the end face of a junction part 40 of this large bore part 34 to a stepped surface 32 of an annular protrusive part 30.</p> |
