<p>PURPOSE:To easily revise a logical channel range designation in response to a kind of a terminal equipment to be connected and to improve the throughput of each terminal equipment by allowing a terminal equipment to take leadership in managing the logical channel range and allowing a subscriber to control a local terminal at hand at its own disposal. CONSTITUTION:A logical channel range display information element alpha used by a caller terminal equipment (a) is included in a call packet from the caller terminal equipment (a) and further a logical channel range information element betaused by a called terminal equipment 12 is included in a reply signal CONN of the called terminal equipment (b) in a terminal variable logical channel management system for an ISDN exchange system provided with plural terminal equipments connecting to a same network terminator and applying packet data transfer service. Thus, a packet handler 12 manages the logical channel by searching an idle channel between the terminal equipment and inter-network based on the caller terminal logical channel range display information element alphaspecified by the call packet and the called terminal logical channel range display information element beta specified by a CONN signal.</p> |
