<p>The housing (1) of the fan has a central air inlet (2) and a centrifugal air outlet (3). Near the rear wall (6) of the housing the fan rotor (7) has a disc (8) with radial blades (9,10). The drive shaft (15) of the fan rotor is driven by the output shaft (16) of a rear mounted motor (17). The area (18) between the fan rotor disc (8) and the rear wall produces a positive air flow which passes between the motor shaft and the housing to cool the motor and to prevent fouling of the shaft bearings, and motor by contamination in the air being pumped. @(6pp Dwg.No.2/2)@.</p> |
