PURPOSE:To forecast the performance of a computer system with a high precision in the initial stage by providing a load setting means, a data storage means, a load generating means, and a load measuring means. CONSTITUTION:Each load quantity obtained by the fundamental design of development target function software 2a is set to performance forecasting software 2b, and this soft 2b is executed to forecast the performance of development target function software before generation of this software. Since actually completed soft is used as a completed part of development target function software thereafter, load quantities except those of this part are set to performance forecasting software 2b again and this soft is executed. The performance forecasted value is obtained with a higher precision in accordance with the increase of a proportion of development target function software 2a. Thus, the performance of the whole of the system including development target function software and additional function soft is forecasted with a high precision based on data of load measurement results obtained by the performance forecasting test. |
