The tape (1) consists of a magnetic layer (2) on a polymer carrier (3) with a rear plastics material protective layer (4). The elasticity modulus - Et - is related to the thickness -h- of the tape by the expression: Et times hx = C where x has a value between 1.5 and 3.5, and C has a value which can vary up or down by 20 per cent. The cassette is similar to the conventional VHS video tape cassette in dimensions and general design. @(12pp Dwg.No.1/6)@.
