PURPOSE:To shorten the stop time of the device and to improve the operation efficiency by displaying the prompt for the replacement of a cartridge when a copy frequency or time reaches its specific value and stopping the device when the specific value is reached. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 34 compares the quantity of a print quantity counting means 30 with the set quantity of a setter 35 and a comparator 36 compares the integrated time of a toner supply time integrating means 31 with the set time of a setter 37. A print quantity (N1) corresponding to the life of an image carrier and quantities (N2, N3) which are less than it in order are set in the setter 35, and compared with a counted quantity to output a 1st and a 2nd warning signal, a stop signal, and a replacement signal. A supplementation time (T1) corresponding to the capacity of a storage part for collected toner and times (T2, T3) which are shorter than it in order are set in the setter 37 and compared with the integrated time to output said signals. A display device 33 displays a replacement preparation state with a 1st signal, a device stop state with a 2nd signal, and a displacement state with the 3rd signal, so that the device stops. |
