PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate timing control and to prevent an image from shifting in position by providing a timer means in addition to a counting means which counts timing pulses synchronized with the rotation of a photosensitive body and controlling the start of the operation of the timer means according to the comparison result of the output of the counting means. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generator outputs one pulse for each fine rotation of a main motor coupled with the photosensitive body. Pulses outputted by the pulse generator are counted to grasp the timing of each copy process and two timer units TCU1 and TCU2 are used for high accuracy and connected to a main controller 200 which controls copy processes. The signal outputted by the pulse generator is counted by the counter in the main controller 200 and its counted value is compared with a specific value to control the operation start of the timer according to the comparison result. Then the timing of optical system control, an eraser, a registration clutch, etc., is controlled in synchronism with the output signals of the timers TCU1 and TCU2. |
